Glossy Vanilla Icing Recipe
Ingredients
| Sugar | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Cream | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Light corn syrup | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Butter/Margarine | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Confectioner’s sugar | 3 1/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Vanilla extract | 2 1/2 Teaspoon |
Directions
Combine sugar, cream, corn syrup, and butter in a heavy saucepan.
Set over low heat and stir until butter is melted.
Remove from heat and gradually add confectioners' sugar, blending until smooth.
Mix in extract.
If frosting is too stiff, blend in cream.
With spatula, spread frosting on top of cake, allowing it to drip slightly down sides of cake.
