This glazed winter vegetables recie is a simple yet fragrant recipe that is perfect for serving as a mian course or side in a meal. Brussles sprouts, carrots and ginger root cooked with maple syrup and chicken stock are glazed in a skillet and cooked to tenderness.
Ingredients

| 1 lb carrots, sliced on diagonal 500 g | ||
| 1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved 500 g | ||
| Maple syrup | 2 Tablespoon | |
| 1 cup homemade chicken stock, or water 250 mL | ||
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
Directions
Heat oil in large non-stick skillet.
Add ginger and cook gently for a few minutes until very fragrant.
Add carrots and Brussels sprouts.
Drizzle with maple syrup and turn to coat well.
Add chicken stock, salt and pepper.
Bring to boil and cook, uncovered, until liquid evaporates and vegetables are glazed.
