Glazed Ribs With Apricot Preserves Recipe

Ingredients
4 lbs. pork spareribs, cut into serving size pieces
6 cups hot tap water
1/2 cup apricot preserves
1/4 cup apple juice
2 tablespoons dark corn syrup
1 tablespoon each brown sugar, dry sherry and soy sauce
1 teaspoon grated lemon rind
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
Directions
Trim fat off ribs.
Place ribs in a 3 qt.glass casserole dish.
Pour water over ribs.
Cover and microwave on DEFROST for 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours [SIMMER-4, 1 hour to 1 hour 30 minutes].
Rearrange ribs once during cooking.
Drain.
Combine remaining ingredients.
Brush mixture over ribs.
Cover and microwave 10 minutes, giving dish a 1/2 turn during cooking.
