Glazed Oranges With Kiwifruit Recipe
Ingredients
| 3 large seedless oranges | ||
| Sugar | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Cornstarch | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Water | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1 kiwifruit, pared and sliced, or 1/2 cup raspberries or blueberries | ||
Directions
1. Cut enough thin slivers of peel from 1 orange with vegetable parer or sharp knife to measure 2 tablespoons, being careful not to cut into white membrane. Cover orange peel with boiling water. Let stand 5 minutes; drain.
2. Mix sugar and cornstarch in 2-cup measure. Stir in 1/2 cup water and the orange peel. Microwave uncovered on high 2 to 3 minutes, stirring every minute, until mixture thickens and boils. Let stand uncovered 5 minutes.
3. Pare oranges, removing all white membrane. Cut into slices; place in large bowl. Pour sugar mixture over oranges. Cover and refrigerate about 1 hour or until chilled. Just before serving, fold in kiwifruit.
