Glazed Ham Raisin Balls Recipe
Ingredients
| Ham | 1/2 pound | |
| Ground pork | 1/2 pound | |
| 1 cup raisin bran flakes | ||
| Evaporated milk | 1 6 Ounce | |
| Egg | 1 | |
| Onion | 1 Tablespoon, finley chopped | |
| Salt | 1 Dash | |
| Pepper | 1 Dash | |
| Dash dried thyme, crushed | ||
| Brown sugar | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Corn syrup | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Vinegar | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Dry mustard | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Directions
Thoroughly mix ground ham, ground pork, raisin bran flakes, evaporated milk, egg, onion, salt, pepper, and thyme.
Shape into 8 to 10 meatballs, using about 5 cup ground meat mixture for each ball.
Place in an 11x7x1 1/2-inch baking pan.
Bake, uncovered, in a moderate oven (350°) for 30 minutes.
In a small saucepan combine brown sugar, corn syrup, vinegar, and dry mustard; bring to boiling.
Pour over ham balls and bake 20 minutes more, basting with the sauce once or twice during baking.
