Glazed Ham And Pork Loaf Recipe
Glazed ham and pork loaf is a sugar glazed meat loaf recipe. Prepared with milk and added cracker crumbs, the glazed ham and pork meatloaf is oven cooked and comes out savory and moist.
Ingredients
To make the loaf:
2 pounds ham, ground
1 1/2 pounds lean pork, ground
1 teaspoon salt
2 eggs, well beaten
1 cup milk
1 cup cracker crumbs
1/4 teaspoon pepper
Glaze:
1 1/2 cups brown sugar, firmly packed
1 tablespoon prepared mustard
1/2 cup cider vinegar
1/2 cup water
Directions
Combine thoroughly ground ham and pork, salt, pepper, eggs, milk, and crumbs.
Shape the mixture into a loaf, place in a shallow baking pan, and bake in a preheated 350° oven for 1 1/2 hours.
When loaf goes in the oven, mix brown sugar, mustard, vinegar, and water in a saucepan and cook for about 5 minutes.
As the ham loaf browns, baste it with the glaze.
Baste frequently during remaining baking time.
