 1 pound carrots, cut in 1 1/2-inch pieces

 Onion2 Tablespoon, chopped
 Butter/Margarine2 Tablespoon
 1 can (10 1/2 ounces) condensed consomme
 Apple Juice1/3 Cup (16 tbs)
 Lemon juice2 Teaspoon
 Cornstarch2 Tablespoon
 Brown sugar1 Tablespoon
 Generous dash ground clove

Directions

Cook carrots and Brussels sprouts; drain.
Meanwhile, in saucepan, cook onion in butter until tender.
Add remaining ingredients.
Cook, stirring until thickened.
Combine with hot vegetables.
