Glazed Honey Belgian Carrots Recipe
Ingredients
2 bunches small Belgian carrots
1/4. cup water
1/2 teaspoon salt
6 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons honey
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
Directions
1. Wash and peel carrots.
2 Place carrots, water and salt in a deep 1 1/2 -quart non-metallic casserole.
3. Heat, covered, in Microwave Oven 9 to 10 (11 1/2 to 13) minutes or until just about fork-tender. Stir occasionally.
4. Add butter, honey and ginger to taste.
5. Heat, uncovered, in Microwave Oven 2 (2 1/2) minutes, stirring occasionally to glaze carrots.
6. Let stand, covered, 3 minutes to finish cooking. If carrots are not tender enough, return to Microwave Oven for an additional 1 to 2 (1 1/4 to 2 1/4) minutes.
