1 large acorn squash
1/3 cup orange juice
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 cup light corn syrup
1/4 cup butter or margarine
2 teaspoons grated lemon rind
1/8 teaspoon salt

Directions
Cut squash into 3/4 inch thick slices; remove seeds and membrane.
Arrange squash in a lightly greased 12 x 8 x 2 inch baking dish.
Pour orange juice over squash.
Cover; bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
Combine brown sugar and next 4 ingredients in a saucepan.
Bring to a boil; reduce heat, and simmer 5 minutes.
Pour sugar mixture over squash.
Bake, uncovered, an additional 20 minutes or until squash is tender, basting occasionally.
Garnish with parsley, if desired.
