Editors Review

“Wake up” is what this Pinoy dish literally translates to, and indeed Gising-gising is a dish that will wake you up because it’s spicy and creamy along with being healthy and low on carbs , which make you feel more energetic! This Filipino Kangkong (river spinach) dish is a great way to include greens into a meal, to be eaten by itself or as a partner to grilled pork or fish and halabos na hipon. This recipe is almost completely vegetarian, except for Mama Sita’s Pang gisa mix which could have chicken boui
