Directions

Cream sugar and butter or margarine in the Bosch mixing bowl.
Add egg and molasses.
Mix well.
In a separate bowl, combine the dry ingredients.
Add to the batter, mixing well.
Add hot water, and stir until smooth.
Pour into a greased and floured 9 x 9 inch pan.
Bake in a 350° F. oven for 35 minutes or until cake tests done.
Serve warm.
