Home Made Gingerbread Waffles Recipe
Ingredients
| Butter/Margarine | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Firmly packed light brown sugar | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Eggs | 2 , separated | |
| Milk | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| All purpose flour | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Baking powder | 1 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| 1 teaspoon each cinnamon and ground ginger | ||
| 1/4 teaspoon each ground cloves and salt | ||
Directions
Cream together the butter or margarine and brown sugar; beat in the molasses, egg yolks, and milk.
Sift flour (it isn't necessary to sift instant-type flour), measure, sift with the baking powder, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and salt.
Beat egg whites until soft peaks form.
Stir dry ingredients into creamed mixture, then fold in beaten egg whites.
Pour batter into preheated waffle baker and bake until lightly browned.
