Ingredients

 Flour8 Cup (128 tbs), sifted
 Sugar2 1⁄4 Cup (36 tbs)
 Baking soda2 1⁄2 Teaspoon
 Baking powder2 Tablespoon
 Ginger3 Tablespoon
 Cinnamon3 Tablespoon
 Cloves1 Teaspoon
 Salt1 Tablespoon
 Shortening2 1⁄4 Cup (36 tbs)

Directions

MAKING
1. In a bowl, add all the ingredients except shortening and sift them twice.
2. Use a pastry blender to cut shortening into dry ingredients, until the mixture resembles cornmeal.
3. The gingerbread mix is ready.

FINALIZING
4. Store it in an air-tight jar or can in refrigerator.
5. Use as and when needed, within 3 months.
