 Shortening5 Cup (16 tbs)
 5 cups brown sugar, packed
 Cinnamon5 Tablespoon
 6 tablespoons ginger 10 eggs
 Dark corn syrup5 Cup (16 tbs)
 Baking soda8 Teaspoon
 Flour28 Cup (16 tbs)

Directions

Cream shortening, sugar, and spices in a large mixing bowl.
Beat in eggs.
Add corn syrup; blend well.
Mix baking soda and flour together in separate bowl.
Add 1/2 of the flour mixture to creamed ingredients; beat well.
Stir in remaining flour mixture; beat until smooth.
Wrap airtight.
Chill at least 5 hours or overnight.
Makes enough dough for house, trees, reindeer, and fence in photo.
