Ginger Sparklers Recipe

Best enjoyed as a Dessert this recipe was taught to me by a dear friend who also happens to be a great chef. Ingredients
3/4 cup butter or margarine
1 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup molasses
1 egg
2 cups robin hood presifted all purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ginger
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon cloves granulated sugar
Directions
Preheat oven to 375° F. (moderate).
Cream together butter, brown sugar, molasses and egg until light and fluffy.
Measure flour, soda, salt and spices into a bowl.
Stir thoroughly to blend.
Stir into creamed mixture until blended.
Shape into small balls (1 inch diameter).
Roll in granulated sugar and place 2 inches apart on greased baking sheet.
Bake at 375° F. for 8 to 10 minutes.
Cool slightly, remove from pan.
