Home Made Ginger Snaps Recipe
These ginger snaps are sure to ad variety and taste to your dessert or snack menu. Easy and simple to make, enjoy them all the year round!
Ingredients
1 cup butter
1 cup golden syrup
1 tspn, ground ginger
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 -tspns. Bi-carb.
21/2 -cups flour
Directions
Cream butter and sugar well together.
Bring syrup to boiling point and add to butter mix- ture.
Let cool.
Sift dry ingredients and add to syrup mixture, mixing well.
Form into one or two rolls, about I1/2 in diameter.
Roll in tvaxed paper and put into refrigerator.
When ready to bake, slice thin and bake on a greased slide at 350° F for 10 - 12 minutes.
Store in a cool place in a tightly covered tin and they will keep crisp for a long time; or bake them as they are required.
