Ginger Sherbet Recipe
The ginger sherbet is one of my favorite dessert sherbets. Made with the cheeky kick of canton ginger, this ginger sherbet is made with added egg whites and lemon esence, the ginger sherbet is a sheer summer refresher.
Ingredients
| Water | 2 Quart | |
| Sugar | 3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Lemons | 6 | |
| Gelatin | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Syrup from Canton ginger- 1/4 cup | ||
| Powdered ginger | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Egg whites | 2 | |
Directions
MAKING
1.Boil water and sugar together for five minutes.
2.Add lemon juice, gelatin softened in a little cold water, the syrup and the powdered ginger.
3.Freeze to a mush, then stir in the beaten egg whites (these may be omitted).
SERVING
4.Serve chilled
