Ginger Peaches With Rum Recipe

1 (16-ounce) can peach halves, drained
 
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
 
2 1/2 tablespoons brown sugar
 
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
 
2 tablespoons light rum

Directions

Place peaches in a 1-quart casserole; set aside.
Place butter in a 2-cup glass measure.
Microwave at HIGH 35 seconds or until melted.
Add remaining ingredients to butter, stirring well; pour over peaches.
Cover with heavy-duty plastic wrap, and microwave at HIGH 3 to 5 minutes or until peaches are hot.
Let stand 2 minutes, basting peaches occasionally with juice mixture.
Serve hot.
