Ginger Carrot Juice Recipe
Ingredients
2 crisp, juicy eating apples, quartered
3 carrots, scrubbed
1 stick of celery
1 2.5 cm 1/2 1 in) piece of fresh root ginger, peeled, or a pinch of ground ginger
200ml (7 fl oz) water juice of 1/2 a lemon or 1 whole lime
Directions
If you have a juicer, use it to juice the apples, carrots, celery and piece of root ginger.
Alternatively, chop the carrots and celery, place in a food processor with the apples and ginger and process to a pulp, then press out the juice through a fine sieve.
Dilute the juice with the water.
Stir in the lemon or lime juice and the ground ginger, if using.
Serve at once.
