| Baking powder | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Ginger | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Cloves | 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon | |
| Cinnamon | 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon | |
| Nutmeg | 1⁄8 Teaspoon |

Directions
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
MAKING
2. Mix shortening and sugar well to achieve a creamy consistency.
3. Put molasses and stir well.
4. Sieve flour, soda, spices and baking powder.
5. Put the flour mixture in the molasses mixture and stir thoroughly.
6. Refrigerate the mixture.
7. Once ready, on a floured board, roll it having thickness of ΒΌ inch.
8. Use gingerbread man cookie cutter of 6 inch and cut the cookies.
9. Take a greased baking sheet, put the cookies on it and bake for 12 minutes.
SERVING
10. Serve the cookies with beverages.
