Ginger Drop Wafers Recipe
Ingredients
| Flour | 1 Cup (16 tbs), sifted | |
| Sugar | 2/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Powdered ginger | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Molasses | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1/2 cup butter, margarine or shortening | ||
Directions
1. Start oven, set at Moderately Slow, 300° F. Rub a cookie sheet with margarine.
2. Mix and sift the flour, sugar and ginger.
3. Heat the molasses to the boiling point, remove from the heat and add the butter or margarine. Let the mixture cool slightly. Then gradually add the flour mixture stirring constantly. Mix well.
4. Drop the mixture from a teaspoon well apart onto the prepared cookie sheet. Bake 12 to 15 minutes. Let cool slightly, remove from the pan and roll each wafer over the handle of a wooden spoon while warm.
