Ginger Beer Barbecue Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
| Onion | 2 Cup (16 tbs), diced (ADD AND REDUCE:) | |
| Garlic | 1 Tablespoon, minced (ADD AND REDUCE:) | |
| Ginger | 1 Tablespoon, minced (ADD AND REDUCE:) | |
| 1 T. jalapeno, seeded, mipced | ||
| Ginger beer | 1 Bottle (1l) (ADD AND REDUCE:) | |
| Ketchup | 2 Cup (16 tbs) (Stir in; Simmer:) | |
| Apple cider vinegar | 2 Tablespoon (Stir in; Simmer:) | |
| Molasses | 1 Tablespoon (Stir in; Simmer:) | |
| Worcestershire sauce | 1 Tablespoon (Stir in; Simmer:) | |
| Ginger | 1 Tablespoon, grated (Stir in; Simmer:) | |
Directions
Sweat onion, garlic, minced ginger and jalapeno in oil in a saucepan over medium-low heat until soft, about 5 minutes.
Add ginger beer, increase heat to medium-high, and simmer until reduced to 1 cup, about 10 minutes.
Stir in remaining ingredients and simmer over medium heat until sauce has thickened, about 10 minutes.
Transfer to a bowl, cool and cover with plastic wrap.
Store up to 1 week in the refrigerator.
