Ginger Beef Pot Roast Recipe
Ingredients
| 4 pounds beef for pot roast | ||
| Turmeric | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Ground ginger | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Shortening | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Onions | 2 , chopped | |
| Garlic | 2 Clove (5gm), minced | |
| Canned tomatoes | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1 cup beef bouillon | ||
| Red peppers | 2 To taste, crushed | |
Directions
Rub meat with turmeric, ginger, and salt.
Brown on all sides in shortening in heavy kettle.
Put meat on rack in kettle.
Add remaining ingredients.
Simmer, covered, for 3 1/2 hours.
If desired, thicken liquid with a flour-and-water paste.
