1 In a microwave safe bowl, put the butter stick and place it in the microwave to melt.
2 In a pan, dry roast the sesame seeds for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring constantly.
3 In a large mixing bowl, mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and sesame seeds.
4 Gradually add the butter and the oil, mixing with hands.
5 Work the dough for 10-15 minutes until you get a grainy texture.
6 Cover the dough and let it rest for 2-3 hours.
7 Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
8 Cover a baking pan with parchment paper and set aside.
9 Re-work the dough for couple of minutes.
10 Make small balls with the dough (if you find it difficult add some oil).
11 Place them on the prepared pan.
12 Bake the Ghriba for 15 minutes or until it takes a light golden color.
13 These cookies taste amazing with Moroccan tea.
