German Chocolate Cookies Recipe
German Chocolate Cookies are so special that you can bake them for the Holidays. The chocolate and nuts make them crunchy and chocolaty. They are soft and chewy. German chocolate cookies look just wonderful. You can't resist eating them.
Ingredients
Eggs-2
Dark brown sugar-1 cup, firmly packed
All-purpose flour -1 cup, sifted
Baking powder -1 teaspoon
Salt -1/2 teaspoon
Cinnamon-1/4 teaspoon
Lemon rind-2 tablespoons, grated
Blanched almonds-1 1/3 cups, chopped
Semi-sweet chocolate morsels-1/2 package (1/2 cup), chopped
Directions
MAKING
1)In a bowl, beat eggs and add sugar and beat until thick.
2)In another bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, salt and cinnamon.
3)Add the dry mixture into eggs and mix.
4)Add remaining ingredients and blend well.
5)Take a greased baking sheet and drop spoonsful on it.
6)Bake in a moderately-hot oven at 375 degrees for 12 minutes.

7)Serve the German chocolate cookies on special occasions.
