German Chocolate Cake Recipe
My longing for German Chocolate Cake strengthened during high school days. You can serve German Chocolate Cake as a yummy Dessert. Was it you or the fragrance of German Chocolate Cake that you're making that has drawn me to the kitchen?, were my partner's words.
Ingredients
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. milk
1 pkg. coconut-almond
or pecan frosting mix
1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
2 eggs
Directions
Place 1/4 cup butter in two 8-inch round glass or plastic cake pans.
Microwave each on Roast for 2 minutes or until butter is melted.
Stir 1/4 cup milk and 1/2 package frosting mix into each.
Set aside.
Prepare cake mix with eggs and 1 1/2 cups water according to package directions.
Pour half the batter into each prepared pan.
Let batter stand for 10 min- utes.
Microwave one layer at a time on Low for 7 minutes.
Microwave on High for 6 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
Cool for 5 minutes.
Loosen edges; invert to cool.
Frosting may stick to pan; remove with spatula and spread on cake.
Cool to handle; stack layers.
