German Cabbage Muffins Recipe
My German aunt taught me how to make German Cabbage Muffins, she said this is a very popular German dish. It is a German delicacy, served as Dessert. Mark this German Cabbage Muffins, or else you will later regret bookmarking this recipe.
Ingredients
1 3/4 Cups Unbleached Flour
1 Tbsp. Baking Powder
1 Tsp. Salt
1 Tbsp. Sugar
2 Tsp. Onion Flakes
2 Tsp. Celery Seed
2 Full Cups Grated Cabbage
2 Eggs
3/4 Cup Low Fat Milk
6 Tbsp. Melted Butter
Directions
Combine flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, onion flakes and celery seed thoroughly.
Add the grated cabbage and stir into these dry ingredients.
Whisk the eggs, milk and melted butter together well.
Add to dry ingredients and stir quickly, making sure it isn't over 10 seconds.
Spoon into greased muffin pans and bake in preheated oven until done.
Bake at 400 degrees 20 minutes

Such a dish does not exist in Germany. It seems it was invented by the contributor's aunt. Although cabbage has its place in German cuisine, it is NOT a dessert food. And muffins are an American dish, although you now can occasionally find chocolate or orange-berry muffins in Germany as a newly intodruced food, called American Muffins.
