German Style Potato Salad Recipe
Ingredients
| 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled, reserve drippings | ||
| Sugar | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) (Salad oil) | |
| Flour | 3 Tablespoon (Salad oil) | |
| Salt | 2 Teaspoon (Salad oil) | |
| Pepper | 1/4 Teaspoon (Salad oil) | |
| Cider vinegar | 1 Cup (16 tbs) (Salad oil) | |
| Water | 1 Cup (16 tbs) (Salad oil) | |
| 4 pounds salad potatoes, cooked and sliced | ||
| Green onions | 4 Small, chopped (Salad oil) | |
Directions
Add enough oil to bacon drippings to make 1/2 cup.
Add sugar, flour, salt and pepper to drippings; stir until smooth.
Gradually stir in vinegar and water; cook 3 minutes, stirring constantly.
Pour over potatoes and onions; set aside at room temperature for 3 hours.
Sprinkle with bacon and serve.
Makes 10 to 12 servings.
