Ingredients
| Green beans - 1 16-ounce can , drained, reserve 2 tablespoons liquid | ||
| Vinegar | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Bacon | 1/4 pound | |
| Onion | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Flour | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Sugar | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Black pepper | 1 Dash | |
Directions
MAKING
1 In a bowl, mix bean liquid with vinegar.
2 Keep aside.
3 In a large frying pan, fry bacon until crisp.
4 Using a slotted spoon, remove the bacon.
5 Drain well on paper toweling.
6 Remove all but 3 tablespoons of fat from the frying pan.
7 Add in the onion and cook until soft and transparent.
8 Stir in flour, sugar, salt, and pepper.
9 Add in the reserved liquid all at once.
10 Cook, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
11 Add in the beans.
12 Heat thoroughly.
SERVING
13 Crumble the fried bacon over beans and serve.
