German Cookies Recipe

Ingredients
4 eggs
1 package (1 lb.) dark brown sugar
2 1/2 cups regular all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon cloves
Dash of salt
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup powdered sugar
1/4 cup water
Directions
Beat eggs and sugar together until creamy.
Sift flour, measure, then sift again with cinnamon, cloves, and salt into egg mixture.
Add chopped walnuts.
Mix well.
Spread on a greased 12 by 18-inch rimmed cooky pan.
Bake in a 375° oven for about 20 minutes.
Immediately spread a glaze of the powdered sugar mixed with water over top.
Cool, then cut into 2 by 3-inch (or smaller) strips.
