German Chocolate Mousse Recipe
Ingredients
| German Sweet Cooking Chocolate - 1/2 pound | ||
| Eggs | 5 Small, separated | |
| Heavy cream | 1 Cup (16 tbs), Whipped | |
| Grand | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Strong coffee | 3 Tablespoon | |
Directions
MAKING
1) Melt the chocolate into a bowl, kept over a pot of boiling water
2) Allow to rest at room temperature
3) Using an electric mixer beat the egg yolks till thick and pale yellow
4) Add in the coffee and the liqueur and mix well
5) Add in the chocolate and blend till a smooth mixture is obtained
5) Using the electric mixer, beat the egg whites till stiff
6) Fold the egg whites into the chocolate
7) Lastly fold in the whipped cream
8) Pour evenly in 8 glasses or into pudding bowls
9) Place in the refrigerator to chill for at least 4 hours
SERVING
9) Serve chilled, garnished with some chocolate sprinkles or white chocolate curls
