Genoese Beef Casserole Recipe
Time to pamper your palate with this Genoese Beef Casserole recipe. I never fail to eat Side Dish while dining out and this is the most common dish that I order. You don't have to be an expert to judge how delicious and flavorful this dish is.
Ingredients
1 lb (500 g) ground beef
1 1/2 cups (375 ml) fine noodles, in 1-inch (2.5 cm) pieces
1 onion, chopped fine
1 cup (250 ml) celery, diced
2 cups (500 ml) tomato juice
1 tsp (5 ml) sugar
1 tsp (5 ml) savory or thyme
1/2 tsp (2 ml) each of salt and pepper
Directions
Set the ground beef in a 4-cup (1 L) microwave-safe baking dish, sprinkle the noodles, onion and celery over the meat.
Mix together the tomato juice and remaining ingre-dients and pour over the meat.
Cover and microwave 10 minutes at HIGH.
Mix well and microwave 10 minutes more at MEDIUM.
Stir, cover and let stand 10 minutes.
Serve with a bowl of grated cheese.
