Gatta Curry Recipe
Ingredients
| Bengal gram flour 150 gm. | ||
| Salt | 1 Pinch | |
| Curds | 10 Gram | |
| Fat | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Turmeric a pinch | ||
| Coriander powder | 20 Gram | |
| Chilli powder to taste | ||
| Cumin | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Oregano | 5 Gram | |
Directions
1. Sieve gram flour. Add a pinch each of salt, chilli powder, oregano and a little fat.
2. Make a hard dough using water. Then roll it out into round, long sticks.
3. Boil in hot water for about 15 minutes.
4. Remove and cut them into short 1.25 cm. (or 1/2" length) pieces (gatta) with a knife.
5. Fry lightly in hot fat.
6. Beat curds well with a little water; add turmeric, coriander powder and salt.
7. Heat a little fat in a pan; add cumin.
8. When the cumin is browned add chilli powder and beaten curd mixture and fried "gatta".
9. Keep on stirring. Remove when the gravy starts thickening. Serve hot.
