Ingredients

 
1/3 cup butter
 
2 eggs
 
1 cup sugar
 
1 cup milk
 
1 3/4 cups flour
 
4 teaspoons baking powder
 
1/4 cup golden raisins
 
1 tablespoon flour

Directions

In a mixing bowl beat together the butter and eggs until light and fluffy.
Gradually beat in the sugar until well combined.
Add the milk, mixing well.
Stir in the 1 1/2 cups flour and baking powder, beating well.
Set aside.
Sprinkle the raisins with the one tablespoon of flour, mixing to coat well.
Fold into the batter.
Pour the batter into a greased nine-inch round baking pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for twenty to thirty minutes or until a tester inserted in the center comes out clean.
If you like, you can decorate with ready to spread frosting, (Betty Crocker) and chocolate pieces, or leaves.
