Garlic Cucumber Pickles Recipe
Ingredients
| 10 7-in. firm cucumbers | ||
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Cider vinegar | 5 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1/4 c. sweet pepper flakes | ||
| Sugar | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Instant minced onion | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Garlic powder | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Ground pepper | 1 Teaspoon | |
Directions
Slice cucumbers lengthwise into eighths.
Combine cucumbers and 1/4 cup salt.
Cover with cold water in large container; let stand for 2 hours.
Drain; rinse well with cold water.
Combine 1 cup water, vinegar, pepper flakes, sugar, onion, garlic powder, pepper and 1 teaspoon salt in large pot.
Bring to boiling point; add cucumbers.
Return to boiling point; re- duce heat.
Simmer for 8 minutes.
Pack in hot, steril- ized jars; seal at once.
