Directions

Combine water and salt in a large saucepan, bring to a boil.
Gradually add grits, stirring constantly.
Return to a boil; cover, reduce heat, and simmer 10 minutes, stirring often.
Remove grits from heat.
Add garlic cheese, cheese, butter, eggs, milk, and pepper to grits, stir until cheese cubes melt.
Spoon into two lightly greased 8-inch square baking dishes or one 13- x 9- x 2-inch baking dish.
Bake at 350° for 45 minutes to 1 hour or until set.
Garnish with carrot curls and parsley sprigs, if desired.
