Garlic Wing Kebabs Recipe
Ingredients
32 chicken wings, middle section only
3 garlic cloves, smashed and chopped
1/2 cup (125 ml) barbecue sauce
2 tbsp (30 ml) honey
1 tbsp (15 ml) lemon juice
2 tbsp (30 ml) oil
1 tbsp (15 ml) wine vinegar
1/2 tsp (2 ml) brown sugar
16 green onion sticks, 1 1/2 in (4 cm) long
16 zucchini sticks, 1 1/2 in (4 cm) long
Salt and pepper
Directions
Place wings, garlic, barbecue sauce, honey, lemon juice, oil, vinegar and brown sugar in bowl; marinate 30 minutes in refrigerator.
Drain and reserve marinade.
Alternate onion, chicken and zucchini on skewers; place in ovenproof dish.
Baste with marinade and season well.
Broil 12 minutes 6 in (15 cm) from top element; turn over twice.
Change oven setting to 450°F (240°C) and finish cooking 7 minutes close to bottom of oven.
Season during cooking.
