Ingredients

 Olive oil1 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), divided (Garlic Mayonnaise:)

 Dry mustard1 Teaspoon (Garlic Mayonnaise:)
 Salt1/2 Teaspoon (Garlic Mayonnaise:)
 Lemon juice3 Tablespoon (Garlic Mayonnaise:)
 Olive oil3 Tablespoon (Shrimp Mixture:)
 Lemon juice2 Teaspoon (Shrimp Mixture:)
 2 cloves garlic, each cut into 4 pieces
 Bay Leaf1 (Shrimp Mixture:)
 Salt1/4 Teaspoon (Shrimp Mixture:)
 Dried thyme leaves1/4 Teaspoon (Shrimp Mixture:)
 Pepper1/8 Teaspoon (Shrimp Mixture:)
 1/2 lb. medium shrimp, shelled and deveined

Directions

In blender bowl, combine 1/4 cup olive oil, garlic, egg, dry mustard and salt.
Blend at medium high speed until well mixed.
With blender running, slowly add 1/2 cup olive oil in very thin stream.
Slowly add lemon juice, stopping to scrape sides, if needed.
With blender running, add remaining 1/2 cup olive oil in very thin stream, stopping to scrape sides, if needed.
Mixture should be smooth and thick.
Chill several hours to blend flavors.
In 1-quart casserole, combine all Shrimp Mixture ingredients, except shrimp.
Cover.
Microwave at 70% (Medium High) for 3 1/2 to 5 1/2 minutes, or until garlic is light golden, stirring once.
Remove garlic.
Add shrimp.
Stir to coat.
Re-cover.
Microwave at 70% (Medium High) for 2 to 4 minutes, or until shrimp are opaque, stirring once or twice.
Let stand, covered, for 2 minutes.
Remove bay leaf.
