Spicy Garlic Mustard Rice Recipe Video
Garlic mustard rice is flavorful, ideal to have for lunch on winters.
Ingredients
1tbsp oil
1tbsp mustard seeds
1tbsp finely chopped garlic
1tbsp finely chopped green chillies
1 medium sized potato cut into quarters
4-5 pieces of raddish cut into 1/4 inch circles
1 medium sized onion cut into quaters
1 cup basmati rice
2 cups water
salt to taste
1/4 teaspoon turmeric
Directions
1. Heat oil in a deep bottom pan and add mustard seeds
2. Wait for the mustard seeds to crackle
3. Add garlic, green chillies and stir
4. Add potatoes, onions and raddish
5. Add salt and turmeric
6. Stir the vegetables
7. Add the rice and water
8. Cover the pan with the lid
8. Mix well and cook on medium heat till the water boils
9. Simmer the rice on low heat till done
10. Server hot with curd, papad, kachris, mangoes, vegetable like Sai Bhaji,
