Garbanzo Stew With Mustard Crust Recipe

Ingredients

 
1 can Garbanzos or freshly cooked peas
 
slices French bread
 
1 can tomato soup diluted as directed
 
French mustard

Directions

Heat soup and stir in the garbanzos, and turn into buttered baking dish.
Spread slices of bread with mustard fairly thickly and arrange on top of the stew.
Push bread down to soak up the gravy.
It will come to the top again.
Place casserole, without lid, in hot oven and bake until the bread forms a brown crust, and the peas are heated through.
