Gajjar Ka Halwa Recipe
Gajjar Ka Hailwa it among the top in my favourite dessert list. The vanilla essence with almonds gives the Gajjar Ka Hailwa a mouth watering taste. Must catch it
Ingredients
| Carrots | 2 Cup (16 tbs), grated | |
| Skimmed milk | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Sugar | 4 Tablespoon | |
| Sultanas | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Clarified butter | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Vanilla essence | 1 Teaspoon | |
| A good pinch of crushed cardamoms | ||
| 2 tbsp blanched and thinly sliced pistachios and almonds | ||
Directions
Microwave carrots, milk, sugar and kismis in a large deep bowl for 3 minutes.
Then stir and microwave on medium 50% power for 40 minutes stirring several times in between until the milk dries up.
Stir in ghee and microwave again for 5 minutes, stirring in between.
Cool and mix in vanilla essence, cardamoms and 1 tbsp of the nuts.
Sprinkle the remaining nuts on top.
