Fusilli With Sausages And Mushrooms Recipe

Ingredients

 
1 lb. fusilli (twisted pasta)
 
3 tbsp. oil
 
3/4 lb. Italian sausage (as spicy as desired)
 
1 medium onion, finely chopped
 
2 tbsp. oil
 
4 oz. chopped mushrooms
 
4 tbsp. dry white wine
 
1 tbsp. butter
 
1 tsp. chopped parsley
 
1/2 cup prepared tomato sauce
 
1 1/2 cups heavy cream
 
3/4 cup Parmesan cheese

Directions

Cook in boiling water until al dente (firm to the bite).
Drain and set aside.
Meanwhile, prepare sauce.
Heat in large skillet.
Remove skin.
Saute sausage in oil and crush with a fork, until cooked.
Set aside.
In another pan, saute until golden.
Add to onions and saute until soft.
Mix with sausages and saute for 2 minutes.
Add to above and mix well.
Add to above and simmer at a low heat for approx 20-30 minutes, stirring frequently, until thicker.
Add pasta to sauce.
Add to above, mix quickly, and serve.
