 1 9-inch BASIC PRESSED PIE CRUST prepared in advance but not baked
 3 tablespoons BASIC CAROB SYRUP
 Honey1/4 Cup (16 tbs), warmed
 Molasses1/4 Cup (16 tbs)
 Water1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Eggs2
 Honey2/3 Cup (16 tbs)
 Buttermilk1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Melted butter2 Tablespoon
 Whole wheat pastry flour1 3/4 Cup (16 tbs)
 Soda1 Teaspoon

Directions

Preheat oven to 375° F.In small saucepan, mix carob syrup, honey, molasses, and water.
Place over low heat and stir until well blended.
Cool.
In a mixing bowl, beat eggs.
Add honey, buttermilk, and butter.
Combine flour and soda, add to batter.
Pour cooled carob mixture into pie shell and drop batter by heaping table-spoonfuls on top.
Bake in preheated oven for about 40 minutes.
