Fudge Nut Pancakes Recipe

Ingredients
Unsweetened chocolate-1 1/2 squares (1 1/2 ounces)
Butter or margarine-3 tablespoons
Enriched flour-1 cup, sifted
Sugar-3/4 cup
Baking powder-2 teaspoons
Salt-1/2teaspoon
Baking soda-1/2 teaspoon
Wheat biscuits -2/3 cup bite-size shredded and crushed to 1/3 cup
Nuts-1/2 cup, chopped
Egg-1
Sour milk-1 1/2cups
Vanilla-1 teaspoon
Directions
MAKING
1)In a saucepan, melt chocolate and butter together on low heat. Cool slightly.
2)In a bowl, sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and soda.
3)Add cereal crumbs and nuts, mix well.
4)In another bowl, beat egg and cooled chocolate mixture.
5)Add milk and vanilla.
6)Mix it with dry ingredients and stir just until blended.
7)Take a griddle and pour about 1 1/2 tablespoons of batter for a 2-inch pancake.
8)Turn pancakes when puffed and bubbly. Brown on other side.
9)Keep pancakes warm between folds of a towel in a very slow oven until ready to serve.
SERVING
10)Serve with ice cream and chocolate sauce.
