Fudge Crisps Recipe
This Fudge Crisps surprises you with the flavors packed into it. For those who loves the strong taste of chocolates, this is defintely the dish for you. Try this for once, I bet, you will get a lot of compliments for this one!!
Ingredients
1/2 cup soft shortening 125 mL
2/3 cup brown sugar, packed 150 mL
1/2 cup white sugar 125 mL
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla 5 mL
2 squares unsweetened chocolate, melted
1 2/3 cups all purpose flour 400 mL
1/4 tsp baking soda 1 mL
1/2 tsp salt 2 mL
1 beaten egg
Chopped or slivered filberts
Directions
Cream or beat the first six ingredients together until fluffy.
Stir in flour, soda and salt sifted together.
Form into two smooth balls and chill 10 to 15 minutes or until firm enough to roll.
Roll each out between two sheets floured wax paper to about 1/4 inch (1/2 centimeter) thickness.
Cut into shapes with a floured cooky cutter.
Lift to lightly oiled cooky sheets.
Brush with egg and sprinkle with nuts.
Bake at 350F (180C) for about 8 to 10 minutes.
