Fudge Cookies Recipe
Ingredients
| Semi-sweet chocolate chocolate chips | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Butter/Margarine | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), softened | |
| Granulated Sugar | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Eggs | 2 | |
| All purpose flour | 1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Salt | 1 Dash | |
| 1 1/2 cups coarsely chopped pecans or walnuts | ||
| Fudge Frosting | ||
Directions
Preheat oven to 375°F.
Lightly grease cookie sheets or line with parchment paper.
Melt chocolate chips in top of double boiler over hot, not boiling, water.
Remove from heat; cool.
Cream butter, granulated sugar and eggs in large bowl until smooth.
Beat in melted chocolate.
Gradually add flour and salt, mixing until smooth.
Stir in nuts.
Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto prepared cookie sheets.
Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until slightly firm.
Cool 5 minutes on cookie sheet, then remove to wire racks.
While cookies bake, prepare Fudge Frosting.
Frost cookies while still warm.
Cool until frosting is set.
