Fruity Ham And Pasta Salad Recipe
The fruity ham and pasta salad is a fresh and light pasta salad made with canned ham and pineapples. Dressed with salad dressing along with honey vingear or any other dressing of choice, the fruity ham and pasta salad is tossed with orange sections, salad greens and celery. sprinkled with sunflower nuts, the ham and pasta salad makes for a light and filling lunch.
Ingredients
1 11 ounce can mandarin orange sections
1 8 1/4 ounce can pineapple chunks
1 6 3/4 ounce can chunk style ham
1 cup corkscrew macaroni
1/3 cup salad dressing or mayonnaise
1 tablespoon honey
2 teaspoons vinegar
1/4 teaspoon celery seed
2 cups torn salad greens
1 stalk celery, sliced
2 tablespoons sunflower nuts
Directions
Chill unopened cans of oranges, pineapple, and ham in the freezer for 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, cook macaroni according to package directions.
Drain.
Turn macaroni into a bowl of ice water.
Let stand for 5 minutes.
Drain well.
For dressing, in a small bowl stir together salad dressing or may onnaise, honey vinegar, and celery seed.
Drain orange sections, pineapple, and ham.
Flake ham into chunks.
In a large bowl toss together macaroni, orange sections, pine apple, ham, salad greens, and celery.
Pour dressing atop.
Toss well to coat.
Sprinkle with sunflower nuts.
