Ingredients

 Butter1 Cup (16 tbs)
 Brown sugar1 Cup (16 tbs)
 Eggs – 2 numbers
 Vanilla1 1/4 Teaspoon
 All-purpose flour - 3 cups
 Baking soda1/2 Teaspoon
 Salt1/4 Teaspoon
 Water1/3 Cup (16 tbs)
 Orange and lemon peel - 1 cup
 Dates1 Cup (16 tbs), chopped

Directions

GETTING READY
1) Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

MAKING
2) Mix the butter with the sugar until the mixture becomes light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time to the mix and beat well
3) Mix together the flour, baking soda and the salt.
4) Add water alternately to the mixture whilst mixing
5) Add the peel and dates to it
6) Spread the mixture one spoonful at a time onto a previously buttered cookie sheet.
7) Bake in a 400°F (200°C) oven for about ten minutes.

SERVING
8) Serve hot and crispy.
