Apricots, washed, pitted, sliced and seasoned, if desired Peaches, skinned, pitted, and sliced Tart plums, washed, pitted, and sliced Pears, skinned, cored, and sliced Rhubarb, washed, trimmed, and cut in about 1/2-inch pieces or chopped Cherries, washed, stoned (tart pie cherries are best) Berries (raspberries, boysenberries, blueberries, sliced strawberries, gooseberries, etc.), washed Note: About 1/4 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon each cinnamon and nutmeg are especially good with apricots; you may also wish to use with peaches and pears. A dash of ground cloves is nice with plums.
