 6 pork loin chops (about 1 inch thick), well trimmed
 Cooking oil2 Tablespoon
 Salt To Taste
 6 tart apples, cored and thickly sliced
 Currants1/4 Cup (16 tbs), dried
 Lemon juice1 Tablespoon
 Brown sugar1/4 Cup (16 tbs)

Directions

In skillet, brown chops in oil.
Sprinkle with salt during browning; drain well.
Place chops in crock pot.
Combine remaining ingredients and pour over chops.
Cover and cook on low setting for 7 to 9 hours.
